March 10, 2025 – Columbus, Indiana, artist Kimberly Rose Free’s first book, Psyche Relics: An Exhibition Journal, was released March 6, the same day that a new body of her artwork went on display.
The book, published by PathBinder Publishing, documents one of her solo art exhibits held last May at Gallery 411 in Columbus. This exhibit showcased works expressing and documenting her psychiatric treatment over 30 years. It includes journal-style writing.
The same day the book came out, some of Free’s most recent art went on display along with other artists at Stillframes Art in Focus Gallery in Columbus. Her latest exhibition is titled “Free Inside.” Four of the pieces resemble ink drawings on large window panels and blinds she found secondhand.
A story on Free’s book and new art exhibit were covered in her local newspaper, The (Columbus) Republic on February 26. Click here to read the story.
