March 1, 2026 – Byron Cartwright, an author from Alabama who wrote a book about the music history of Columbus, Indiana, has scheduled two programs in Columbus March 20-21. On Friday the 20th, he will discuss his book, Amazing Sounds in a Midwestern Town: Columbus, Indiana: Small City with a Big Musical Heritage (September 2025) at 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Helen Haddad Hall. The following day, he will speak on E. Wayne Berry’s musical and ministerial legacy at First Christian Church from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
