Nov. 11, 2025 – Kimberly Free, an artist/author in Columbus, Indiana, won the Fine Craft Purchase Award at the Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show in Columbus on Nov. 8. Featuring professional artists, this is an annual art and fine craft show that marked its 20th year this year. Free won the award for her mixed media piece of Large Arch and First Christian Church in Columbus.
She also presented a series of workshops this fall at First Presbyterian Church in Columbus focused on art and mental health.
Her book, Psyche Relics: An Exhibition Journal (March 2025), details an exhibition of works on paper, combining 2D and 3D objects expressing her experience of psychiatric treatment over the last three decades.
