Coming soon: I am My Language

Nov. 11, 2025 - Surjeet, a little girl, wishes very hard that she could read her first language, Punjabi. She would like to prove it by reading at the Basant Festival. So, she asks her aunt to help her learn. I am My Language, soon to be Ritu Anand’s third children’s book with PathBinder, is an ode to all who have chosen to learn to read, write and speak their first language. May the ember of your first language ignite the way ahead. The book is beautifully illustrated by Maaz Farzaan. Look for it late in 2025 or early in 2026.

The author, from Sarasota, Fla., draws her inspiration from nature around her and her scripture – Sri Guru Granth Sahibjee. She also lists Kara’s Dreams (March 2022) and the Spanish-language version of that book, Los Sueños de Kara (November 2023), as PathBinder offerings.
