Children’s book about girl learning her first language (Punjabi) gets pub date

December 2, 2025 – Ritu Anand’s third children’s book with PathBinder has been assigned a publication date. I am My Language, an ode to all who have chosen to learn to read, write and speak their first language, goes on sale April 25 to coincide with a book launch she is conducting that day. In the book, Surjeet, a little girl, wishes very hard that she could read her first language, Punjabi. She would like to prove it by reading at the Basant Festival. So, she asks her aunt to help her learn. The book is beautifully illustrated by Maaz Farzaan.

Anand also lists Kara’s Dreams (March 2022) and the Spanish-language version of that book, Los Sueños de Kara,(November 2023) as PathBinder offerings.

Meanwhile, Anand has been selected to be a spotlighted guest at the 13th annual Imaginarium in Louisville, Kentucky, next summer. In addition to being an author, she is also a literary agent. The convention will be July 17-19 at Holiday Inn – Louisville East.
